My friend and former coworker/work mentor passed away recently and unexpectedly. It makes one think about the brevity of life and how it shouldn't be taken for granted. So here's my attempt at my farewell to her....K.I.S.S. was something that she used to say quite a bit.. Sandy, I can't believe you're gone....I want to call your number to see if you will answer because it seems so surreal. I was going to call you and tell you to put me on your calendar this winter; to tell you that I was bringing Alex with me so you could finally meet him. I wanted to tell you about some of my funny babysitting stories as well as about my kitty. I was looking forward to having lunch or dinner with you and Moe. And now, it's not going to be the same when I go home for the winter..... But wherever you are, I hope you're at peace. No more craziness to deal with here on earth. I will miss you a lot..... And I'll try my best to "Keep It Simple Stupid".....
